We decided to take the kids to the park and fly their kites. A brilliant idea.... in theory.
We had wind, but as soon as the kite would lift off the ground, the wind would change, and it would take a nose dive right back down to earth.
Finally, the wind stayed consistent long enough to get them up high for a brief moment. We had small victories, but they were fun while they lasted.
Unfortunately, we weren't able to keep them up for longer than a minute, so eventually, the kids gave up and hit the park.
